Expanding automotive tier 1 supplier which is non-union, high volume parts manufacturer is seeking a Business Unit Manager to be over @ 8 direct reports and 80 indirect reports over 3 shifts. Will be responsible for quality, engineering and production for this business unit.
Annual target setting & coordination with Business Field Leader
Bi-annual target reviews with the Business Field Leader
Plans, leads, organizes and controls daily production, engineering and quality activities in the assigned business unit
Manages daily production plans.
Supervises and coordinates employees and activities related to assigned production processes.
Directs Kaizen, new line start-up and continuous improvement activities for assigned production processes.
Identifies and investigates variances from operating budgets and implements corrective actions.
Develop labor plans and accounting for variance to labor plan for assigned production processes
Prepare and present operational metrics and any resulting corrective actions
Maintains technical skills.
Monitors and improves product quality through production process and resolves post production issues with customer.
Maintain a trained workforce
Support continuous improvement activities to improve safety, quality and productivity for assigned production processes
Establish and maintain a safe work environment.
MUST COME OUT OF TIER 1 ENVIRONMENT IN AUTOMOTIVE
Automotive Business Unit Leader, Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
