Position Summary
The Human Resources Operations Specialist is responsible for all operational human resources related activities which may cover multiple sites. As the liaison for line managers and People link, this position will be the first point of contact for all employee relations and inquires. This includes, but is not limited to, Employee Relations issues and resolution, serving as the subject matter expert in key HR tools, systems and processes, overseeing the execution and delivery of HR transactions, and providing value added analysis and reporting. This role will perform other related work as assigned.
Responsibilities
Responsible for all employee relations issues as the first point of contact. In this capacity, the HR OP Specialist, will interpret all employee inquiries and determine proper channel for resolution. They will also be responsible for policy interpretation, local employee advocacy, and ensuring Unilever's high standard of integrity, while balancing employee and manager customer service.
Responsible to become Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all key HR Tools, systems and processes. These include, People Soft, LMS, SoftScape, e-Reward, Unilever portals, and other related HRT processes. An important part of this role will be in the training and coaching of employees on the new ways of working, including all aspects of People link and HRT.
Own delivery all the HR administrative and transaction activities that are not provided by People link including the completion of all needed WFA documents including MPI forms. Will also administer exit, IR/ER (CBA, disciplinary action, grievance/ arbitration documentation), garnishments/ court orders, subpoena of records, bidding/ bumping, pay rate changes (coordination w/ finance), and leave request forms and return to work procedures. Maintains hard copy of personnel files. Will work with HRBP to manage and process the Unilever grants for local charities. This position will ensure that all required transaction take place to provide a seamless operation of the business.
This position will be the key contact for line managers if People link issues are not resolved and require further escalation. Will track all escalated issues and follow-up with Corporate HR Ops or other third parties following issues through to resolution while maintaining effective communication with all affected stakeholders.
Responsible for monitoring and reporting trends and issues within scope of work. This role will analyze employee inquiries to understand frequent or concerning bottlenecks or problems. Will also maintain all required tracking activity to support the collective bargaining agreements if applicable and coordinate onsite learning to be delivered in the factories. This includes tracking and reporting all non-LMS training. Additional HR data tracking will be assigned and maintained as needed, such as service awards.
Will maintain all needed documentation and files for workers' compensation claims in support of the HRBP. Forward wages requests from carrier to People link for processing. Manage the archiving/ storage and when needed the retrieval of HR files and documentation. Will manage Union benefit and pension programs that are not managed by Unicare/ Fidelity.
Responsible for the on boarding process, including pre-employment testing all the way through local requirements such as badges and uniforms.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree- preferable in HR, Employee Relations, Labor Law, etc.
3 years of HR experience- preferable in the manufacturing industry/setting

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
